Transferring Lessons Learned - Can Advances in Heavy Industry Benefit the Textiles Sector?

  • 03-May-2018
  • 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM
  • The Advanced Forming Research Centre, 85 Inchinnan Drive, Renfrewshire, PA4 9LJ

The Advanced Forming Research Centre (AFRC) is a world leading research centre set up to test experimental manufacturing technologies pre-production, and features some great examples of digital innovation.

Although the sectors traditionally associated with the AFRC are different to the textile industry, the capabilities and expertise have the potential to inspire creativity with regard to applications in this area, and how these might be applied in your organisation.

The event will begin with a tour of the facilities and then followed by an opportunity to discuss how the technology and expertise could apply to businesses in the textiles sector.

Registration will be available from 3.00pm at the AFRC and the tour will commence at 3.30pm. Following the tour there will be a discussion and networking reception until 7.00pm.

The AFRC is based in Inchinnan, near Glasgow airport (85 Inchinnan Drive, Renfrewshire, PA4 9LJ).

If you require return transport from the Technology and Innovation Centre, please select this option at the point of registration.

To take advantage of this offer, please arrive at the Technology and Innovation Centre no later than 2.45pm.

There are two return options, leave the AFRC at 5pm at the close of the tour or 7.00pm after the discussion session and drinks reception.
