CeeD, in partnership with Booth Welsh invite you to come along to a Technology Clinic titled with a presentation titled, The Future Won’t Look Like the Past. As a forward-thinking engineering company, Booth Welsh have a host of knowledge in this area and this presentation will focus on the basics of Industry 4.0 and digitalisation. Attending the presentation will prove that Industry 4.0 is nothing to be scared of and will help you with ideas to embrace new technology advances in your business. It will touch on a variety of themes including the importance of upskilling, engaging with future generations as well as the importance of realising potential barriers and overcoming them with collaboration.
As well as this, there will also be a short presentation from a Strathclyde University PhD student to discuss her work with the AFRC (Advanced Forming Research Centre) on developing the Augmented Worker, utilising fascinating new advances in Virtual and Augmented Reality.
This session will, naturally, introduce the concept of Virtual Reality which will be on hand for attendees to trial – definitely not to be missed!
